Why hello there.
So I am actually pretty excited. For those who may know me/like knowing aliases about the people they are watching I am Host Chelsea from the Twisted series. I have also played as Amanda Kimmel in EpicSbb3 (where I got final juror and will probably return for FvFvF) and Alec in Good and Evil 9 (where I ALSO got final juror AND fan favorite. Shout-out to Vito, Lucius and the West Side).
Recently I have been priding myself on writing confessionals, but I don’t usually like being full of myself. Generally I’m a pretty non-descript and friendly guy who does just tries to narrate what is going on in a game. I may try providing some snarky commentary when I think it’s relevant, but I guess we will see about THAT.
I’d like to think I am pretty self-aware (not like Dan Foley self-aware, ACTUALLY self-aware) and that I am capable of playing a good game. Physically I am pretty good, strategically I have been doing a lot better recently (see Good and Evil F4 vote) and socially I definitely have the ability to play a good game. I really just try to be myself and form legitimate bonds with people. I have noticed that when I play a “good” social game (Amanda in Epic) I tend to come across as burning people when I vote them out. Obviously means my social game wasn’t that great with them lol, but that is something I need to work on as a player I think. Be close with people but avoid burning them.
So my plan for this is probably pretty similar to a lot of people. Be friendly, hang back at the start a bit, and see where it goes. I have played both UTR and very OTR games and I need to work on finding a good balance. I feel like I have all of the tools to win a game, now I just need to actually USE them and optimize my usefulness. Be sociable and loved but on a personal level, be good in challenges but try to avoid being a total beast in the beginning, and don’t come out of the gate playing too hard. If I can pull that off I think I have an amazing chance at winning.
So now how about some game stuff? The captains twist looks similar to the chiefs one in Twisted 2. I know EXACTLY what I am going to do thanks to it Every time someone on my tribe is selected as a captain, I'll probably make a photoshop of them in some pirate gear or something. Should help people like me off the bat and should be innocent enough where I won't be seen as a threat or something. Idk if I would want to be voted as a captain because it can put a spotlight on me, but I'm sure they get some advantage for winning so it can't be too bad. Having an idol would be cool so if I can get one for being a captain I won't be mad.
The returnee twist should also be interesting, even though the term "returnee" in ORGs can be vague. For all I know people are playing this series for the second time as a different alias. Makes them just as much of a returnee as the Second Chance contestants. I don't know much about Kim, but I played with Vince in Epic3 when he was Keith, so I am excited to see if I can work with him again.
Considering I have really just been elaborating on some of the application questions, I may as well address the “hero” or “villain” thing. Especially as Gabe I plan on playing the hero role. I’ll be around to help my tribe, help others, and be loyal to allies. I’m not much of a flipper, so I usually stay pretty true to allies throughout a game. Will that happen this time around? Idk, I guess we will find out. I’m loyal but I’m not stupid. If I know I need to I’m not afraid to go into Brian-Heidik Iceman-Gamebot mode and take out the competition. I’m a nice guy, but you don’t want to play against me if I am angry at you
And finally to go back to my confessionals a bit, I actually came up with a bit of a theme for at least presenting them. I am curious to see if I can pull it off for the whole season. The longer I stay the harder it will be I would think! Lol. Here is a bit of a preview of what you may be seeing………….
Once tribes are picked I will write about my thoughts on everyone I have talked to so far and start talking actual game stuff. Until next time, the Epic that is The Adventures of Gade Cade will conclude.
