Ok so I just caught up on confessionals and I have a few thoughts.
Read: Interesting dynamic. I think they'll have a very easy tribal with Stacey going but it could get a bit messy after that. Gabe, Danni, and Ciera have their alliance while Nick, Burton, and Dan have theirs but there's a lot of stuff where both sides like Gabe, Ciera questions Danni, Nick and Burton are both skeptical of Dan, and both sides have people who like Kim and people who don't like Kim so a tribal after Stacey goes will be interesting for sure.
Davis: A little more obvious. Shirin and Sash are on one side working with Coach, Whitney, and Rodney who were in the middle but weren't in the middle at the same time lol. Morgan was a sixth but wanted to try to make a move. It backfired so now Hali is sort of a loose sixth (with an idol) while Ace is seventh man on the outs with some people targeting him and Morgan the obvious OTTN threat on the outs with almost everyone targeting her.
My Round 1/2 "Contenders":
Burton: He is exactly where he needs to be on his tribe. He has a tight alliance of three while still being in tight with Gabe and Danni on the other end of the spectrum. He even has something with Kim. He is the likeable, active guy you need to be in the premerge phase and I think he'll go far. I also recently found out who he is and expect nothing less than exactly what he is doing. He's playing awesomely.
Gabe: Very similar to Burton but a little less social. He is in good with his alliance while keeping up ties with at least Burton and even Nick a bit on the other side. He is also communicating with the other tribe which could put a target on his back but also could go really well for him since a lot of people seem to trust him rn.
Whitney: In a solid spot and seems to be controlling the middle of her tribe. She is good with Sash and Shirin who both trust her, doesn't seem to be the immediate target of anyone on the outs (Morgan, Ace, Hali, etc.), and is tight with Coach and Rodney. She is a lot more subtle than Coach and seems more aware of her position and what is going on than Rodney. I don't know how long it will last but I think Whitney is playing a good game rn.
Rodney: This could be wrong but I get a good vibe from him. I think he is in the middle where he needs to be since he is not playing too hard or controlling anything but is still in the majority. He won't be an early target and is keeping his ear out for info and what he needs to know.
